Flavor'd Flow Studio History
Flavor'd Flow Studio is Columbus' first Hip-Hop cultural based dance studio and was founded in 2016 by James Alexander, also known as Bboy Osuga. Located on the south side of Columbus, Ohio and residing on the first floor of an old rec center, the gymnasium has been transformed into a hip-hop dance studio covered in graffiti art and positivity.

James Alexander also know as Bboy Osuga was born and raised in Columbus Ohio. He was introduced to Hip-Hop culture in 1993 and started breakin' in the 90s. He got his teaching start at Central Ohio Dance Academy in 2000. James started performing all around Columbus and traveling the country to compete. Osuga has won many competitions around the Midwest. Mr. Alexander also started teaching at up to five other studios around the city. By 2008 he was teach at BalletMet, Luv2dance, GymSkills, Columbus Youth Ballet and Charmion Performing Art Center. Throughout his career James also has created after school programs as well as summer camps. Today James judges competitions around the region. He also travels around Ohio and the Midwest to teach master classes at Universities and other dance studios. He hopes to continue to pass down the life lessons and values that Hip-Hop and Breakin' has taught him. |

What we do and Our Mission
Flavored Flow Studio is the first and only Hip-Hop cultural based dance studio. Our primary focus is Breakin and Poppin'.
We offer kids classes 5-12yrs old, teen classes, and adult classes. Flavor'd Flow also provides summer camps, after school programs, workshops, birthday parties and other programs. The studio also brings in other talented dancers to provide master classes. Flavor'd Flow hosts many battles and other events throughout the year.
As a studio we perform all over Columbus and surrounding cities in Ohio. As well we travel around the country to compete.
Our mission:
Flavor'd Flow Studio mission is to empower children's lives through Hip-Hop culture and it's dances. The classes instill confidence, discipline, and structure through the authentic foundations of Breakin' and Hip-Hop movement. Each child will learn the importance of respect, diversity, hard work, team work and many other values. Our main goal is to help each student to become young professionals and prepare them to follow their dreams! The studio serves as a pillar of the Columbus Hip-Hop Community, providing a safe and inclusive space for all b-boys, b-girls, and breakers to train, create, and express themselves. Flavor'd Flow Studio also strives to educate people about Hip-Hop culture and the dances, as well as, help change the image/stigma of what the media has portrayed Hip-Hop.
